A patch is available to address the following OPNET Product Logged Problem:


Identifier        5290
Description       Memory leaks in IP address allocation block pooled memory
Affected file(s)  ip3_encap, frms_fr_ipif2, ip3_rte, rip2, rip_udp2, tcp_conn2,
                  tcp_manager2, tpal_intf_tcp2, tpal_intf_udp2


1.0 Installation of patch file from MIL 3 Internet FTP Server

1) cd into a temporary directory to contain these files


2) Obtain the patch files from the MIL 3 FTP server:
	Connect to the MIL 3 FTP server. The username is opftp and password 
	is CaNeCo+ :

	unix% ftp ftp.mil3.com
	Name: opftp
	Password: CaNeCo+

	The patch directory is
	/pub/patches/3.5.A/plp_5290/.

	Change directories to the proper directory:

	ftp> cd /pub/patches/3.5.A/plp_5290/

	Enter binary FTP mode and obtain the README and
	patch file(s):

	ftp> bin
	ftp> prompt
	ftp> mget *
	ftp> bye

3) Move these files into their appropriate directories.  These will replace
the process models that are already present.  The appropriate directories are:

for frms_fr_ipif2:
<mil3_dir>/3.5.A/models/std/frelay

for ip3_encap and ip3_rte:
<mil3_dir>/3.5.A/models/std/ip

for rip2 and rip_udp2:
<mil3_dir>/3.5.A/models/std/rip

for tcp_conn2 and tcp_manager2:
<mil3_dir>/3.5.A/models/std/tcp

for tpal_intf_tcp2 and tpal_intf_udp2:
<mil3_dir>/3.5.A/models/std/tpal

Make sure you recompile these process models, or delete the old *.o, *.pr.h,
and *.pr.c files before using them.
